Christmas Advent

Here is an advent calender I made, I lost the paper that says what I'm supposed to write for each day. I suppose I'll just have to come up with 25 things on my own.

My First Doll I made Myself!!

She didn't quite turn out the way I wanted but then... this is pretty good for a first try I think. I still can't find her other shoe, I think my kids threw it in the trash and I haven't had a chance to sew a new one. I've got lots of ideas for improving my next dolly. I'm still toying with the idea of taking her head off and makig a new one.

Here is my Pirate Invitation!

I decided I really liked the bright red one... so here's what I came up with.

My Very First Creation!

I made this cute little guy in one day!! I'm so proud of myself! I bought the fabric, threaded my own machine, and sewed it together all by myself, and all in one day!! All of my other sewing endeavors were always assisted by my Mama, and well she usually ended up taking over. I sewed my baby's blessing dress, with lots of help and guidance from my sister! I'm also very proud of that fact:)

These "Ugly Dolls" were my inspiration, he was lots of fun to make!!
Here he is next to my sewing machine, so you can see how big he is.

Sew Much fun!

I am learning how to sew!! I got a sewing machine from my sister for Christmas, so awesome!! My Mama gave me this old piece of corduroy and it's vintage style is so fun, but I haven't decided what to make yet! What shall I make hmmm....
The possibilities... endless!

A little orange

I decided to try my very first challenge ever. Cause it's my birthday and I wanted to have some fun. So after watching a movie (11pm)with my hubby I sent him off to bed and tried my hand at making an orange card before the deadline at midnight PST. It was lots of fun, but alas I don't really like the results, I think I'll try again with another challenge when I have more time LOL!

So here is the challenge at {Carrdvarks}

I'm a newbie!

So I'm still really new at this, a newbie, or whatever...

I started rubber stamping with my mommy when is was a little girl. I used to love going to Uptown Rubber Stamps in old town or Stamp World in the mall and look at all the fun stuff. I remember when she learned heat embossing and we held our cards over the toaster, then she learned dry embossing and we taped our stencils and paper to the window till she bought a light box. I remember when she bought all the kids a stamp set, I got one with bugs... I still have it. I loved the fairy tale set, I have it now, my kids and I just stamped with them yesterday.

But I didn't really gent into the hobby till recently. I've toyed with the idea of becoming a Stampin' Up demonstrator but have always decided against it, just not quite ready I guess.

So to prove it all of my stamps and supplies can almost all fit into one of these totes:

OK I admit it all my supplies would fit into two of these totes but I only have one and it's all spilling out. But from what I've seen I've barley scratched the surface of all the cool crafty stuff out there... that I want to have...

Friends Like You

"Friends like you keep me afloat" I started this card at my sisters house and finished it up last night. I used Favorite Friends stamp set by Stampin' Up (SU) Tempting Turquoise, Real Red and Green Galore card stock. The pattern paper was my sisters. The buttons from Wal-mart.
I know just who to send this to.
