Silly little craft

So my son came up to me the other day with a pair of jeans and showed me the hole in the knee. He suggested I cut legs off like I had with other pants he'd had. So once that was done he asked me what I would do with the scraps. That got my mind working.
Anyway while he was a at school yesterday this is what I came up with LOL. I know it's silly and not the best thing ever but I had so much fun doing it, it was like my little pre-teen self was comming out and thinking of all the fun ways I could embelish it. As I worked I decided that the tote would be the first thing I would teach my kids to sew because it's so easy.
When I picked up my son from school I showed him what became of his pants, he was so excited and exclaimed "Now I have my very own purse!" I must admit I wasn't intending it for him, I was thinking more along the lines of a girl cousin. So when Daddy got home he laughed and said "so son I hear you have a man bag.".

I love this story and I'm so glad you had so much fun making it. I think that is what crafting is all about.

That is so totally cool!
Kids don't ever say stuff influenced by society!
I love that innocence!
Sure he can have it... just call it a tote bag in public!

good idea! I can never come up with things like that! I love the sun-dress too. Nice job!
